Universal Studios New Park
That is correct! Universal Studios did not just add a couple of rides, they created a whole new park for us to enjoy. Listen, I have a lot of kids so these are the vacations we like to take. We try to make our way to Orlando, FL bi-yearly. Between Disney and Universal Studios, I still feel 12 at heart! We recently went to Disney in 2023 for my Irish triplets’ birthday trip. How did that go? Check here. Ready to check out the new thrills at universal studios?
Okay, So What’s New?
The name of the new park is called Epic Universe. Epic Universe consists of five thrilling areas.
- Celestial Park
- Isle of Berk
- Super Nintendo World
- Dark Universe
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter β Ministry of Magic
Let’s Start with Isle of Berk
The theme of this area stems from the How To Train Your Dragon movie. How much fun right for the kids and kid’s at heart?! So upon doing my research, Isle of Berk is bringing three rides in this park.
- Hiccups Wing Gliders
- Dragon Racer’s Rally
- Frye Drill
Anyone ’48 inches and taller can partake in all these rides. A show called The Untrainable Dragon is a good time for you to sit back and be entertained while resting those feet.
Celestial Park
This park will probably appeal to adults, while only having 2 rides. Yet, the two shopping stores and eateries make it a good resting place. The carousel of course will attract all ages. The Stardust Racer looks like it is loaded with drills! Racing past other cars on this rollercoaster ride will surely give you a rush.
The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter
I know I stated previously that Celestial Park is for adults, but this area is really for adults. It only has one ride called Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. To me, younger kids are not interested in Harry Potter and that means they will probably try to rush through this area. Food and shopping is not scarce in this area. Slow down and take in the scenery! This area would definitely be good for great photo ops.
Dark Universe
By the title of this one, I think we can gauge that it depends on the child if this area is suitable. It represents the classic villains of Universal. It’s dark and scary, but my grown behind still is apprehensive a little. Why? If you do not like horror, this area might not be your cup of tea. Furthermore, these are not your 10 and under kind of monsters. Frankenstein is not a new monster and my kids will probably not know him. Again, not very many rides but fun looking.
- Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
- Curse of The Werewolf
This area does not disappoint in sight. Giving that scary and spooky fill and displaying the brick buildings that look centuries old. I truly am excited to experience the rides in this area!
Lastly, Super Nintendo World
I’m not even gonna sugarcoat it. I WILL BE HAVING A BLAST HERE! Yes, the kids will definitely enjoy this area. Actually, majority of our time will probably be here.
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge
- Yoshi’s Adventure
- Mine-Cart Madness
New Thrills at Universal Studios
When does all this thrilling fun take place? This is a great question! Right now, itβs speculated to open up around Spring of 2025. That is enough time to get everything planned. I did a post on the best time to go to Disney, comment below if you want one for Universal Studios as well.
